CCCB chapter meeting with guest speaker Jean Gallo, head of the Business Enterprises Program for the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind.

We are having a wine tasting hosted at Le Bon Vie, 423 Sleater-Kinney Road SE starting at 2:00 p.m.
 
April 5
Members of the CCCB will be greeting guests at the 2008 Lacey Sunrise Lions Pancake Breakfast.  The event will be at the North Thurston High School Cafeteria from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. The all you can eat menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, and assorted drinks. Come early for the best selection. Tickets available at the door or in advance.
 
April 12
The CCCB Pizza Feed will be at Apollo’s Pizza & Pasta, 2010 Harrison Ave NW, on Olympia's Westside at 2:00 p.m.  This is our fifth annual pizza feed and it should be a great time.
 
April 19
CCCB chapter meeting.  Our speaker will be Matt Harnyak who will be speaking about the 211 system which links callers with social-service agencies, such as a shelter for battered women, food bank or mental-health counselor.
 
April 25, 26 & 27
WCB Board of Directors spring meeting and Leadership Training in Everett, WA
 
May 10
Olympia Readers Book Club meets at 2:00 p.m. at the Colley's home. Our May book will be "The Nine Tailors", a classic mystery novel by Dorothy L. Sayers, featuring her famous detective Lord Peter Wimsey. Available from the WTBBL as RC18111.
 
May 17
CCCB chapter meeting has been can  cancelled due to our participation in the following community events.  Again this year, several chapter members will be working at the Lacey Sunrise Lions booth during the Lacey Spring Fun Fair.  They will hand out hundreds of CCCB flyers, WCB brochures and Braille alphabet card with children's first names brailled on them.  Also, the first of two Olympia Host Lions low-vision fairs is scheduled for the Olympia Community Center. The fair will feature hands-on displays of low-vision resources as well as panels and speakers. We are to make a fifteen minute presentation and Mike Cunningham will be on a low vision panel at the close. Mike and Howard Ferguson will be manning a table to hand out brochures and flyers.

Our annual picnic will begin at noon on at LBA Park in southeast Olympia.
